Yuo Char Koay/YouTiao @ 1Utama

Bringing local streets snack to shopping mall....quite a good idea....This restaurant booth is at 1Utama (new wing if not mistaken...hehe). The streets snack here is nice. It served soya milk, you-char-koay, sesame rice balls, porridge & ham-chim-peng. It's quite a cheap tea-break...this is halal too. When I dined in with my husband, the only missing part is the soya milk+youtiao songs by JJ 林俊傑-豆漿油條. If not, it will be sweet sweet.....hehe :D

Long queue.....but the lines moved reasonably fast...hehe :)

Me with the soya-dipped you-char-koay....hehe....nice...ahhh....haha...looks very tam-chiak

Besides you char koay, they also have sesame rice balls which come in 3 flavors (peanut, redbean & lotus paste) and ham-chim-peng

The soya is nice and creamy...

Taiping Lang Restaurant (Puchong)

Recently when I was in KL, my sister treated me to this restaurant called Taiping Lang ('Lang' aka People). This restaurant was also recommended by Axian (in Astro AEC Taste with Jason) last year March. This is my sister's 2nd time to the restaurant. The restaurant is located in Puchong, opposite IOI Mall. It served home-cooked nyonya food with its specialties on grandma's cooking. The restaurant is quite nostalgia with the ah ma's stuff hanging on the wall. I found that the food is at an average taste only with a lot of MSG..... :(

My sister also has the same comment. She said the taste has deteriorated since last year when she first tried out. After the lunch, no matter how many litre of water that went down my throat, it still did not quench my thirst.... :( Dishes here were in small portion and a bit pricy (food shown cost >RM70++)

Christmas in Kuala Lumpur

Last week we went to KL to be 'fantasized' by all the Christmas trees, lighting and mood. Somehow I always like Christmas more than Chinese New Year, with songs (that I find peace in) and all the beautiful decorated x'mas trees and lights.... I just simply love it.... :D...

At StarHill Gallery

At Starhill, one of my husband's wishes came true. As a watch-lover, he wish to go for a watch exhibition and it happened that we bumped into one on that day. It was held by YTL. He was fascinated about all the watches there especially brands like Breguet, AP, JLC, Maurice Lacroix, and many mores :D
